Target Davies Close to Bristol City Move - Ipswich Town News
Derby striker Steve Davies, a Town target all summer, is reported to be holding talks with Bristol City, a fee believed to be £600,000 having been agreed between the clubs, while the player himself has tweeted that developments on his situation are likely to take place on Monday.
The Robins were previously reported to be talking to Davies, who is believed to have been the subject of the bid Town had rejected at the end of last week, in late July when manager Derek McInnes denied having any interest in the 24-year-old.
After a report claimed Davies was set for talks with City this evening, the player tweeted: "Big day ahead tomorrow. Time for bed. More info [for] you tomorrow."
The Blues have been after Davies since May but have so far been unable to agree a fee with the Rams, who are understood to want £1 million for the former Tranmere man.
