U21s Lose at Swansea - Ipswich Town News
Nathan Ellington netted for the Blues as Town fell to a 2-1 defeat to Swansea in their first ever U21s Professional Development League Two — South fixture at Stebonheath this lunchtime. The 31-year-old, the only overage player in the Town side, scored in the 33rd minute between two first-half Swans goals netted by James Loveridge and Rory Donnelly.
Town’s line-up included Cameroonian trialist Yann Songo’o, a 20-year-old centre-half, who assistant manager Chris Hutchings says is at the club for at least a fortnight: "He’s playing at centre-back today.
"He was here last week and he’s here this week. He’s done well, we want to see him in games. We’ll get the DVD because we haven’t got down there, but it’s something that we’re looking at.”
