Town striker Pablo Counago was sent off in the Spanish U21s game wht Portugal last night. The ex-Celta Vigo man was given a straight red in the 87th minute as the game boiled over.
Portugal won 1-0 to progress to the U21 World Cup. Spain had won their home leg 2-1 with Pablo scoring their first goal.
Elsewhere Titus Bramble was not involved as England's U21s progressed. The Town centre-half was watching the reserves at Portman Road, but will hope that he will make David Platt's squad in the summer.
Amir Karic's Slovenians are in action in the second leg of their play-off with Rumania tonight. Amir's side are 2-1 up from the home leg.
