Town Close In On N'Daw - Ipswich Town News
St Etienne midfielder Guirane N’Daw is close to completing a move to Town, according to reports in France this morning. Yesterday, the French media reported that the Blues, Brighton and Charlton had been offered the 28-year-old former Birmingham man, who is surplus to requirements at his current club.
Town and their 1981 UEFA Cup opponents are said to have been in negotiations for a number of days with N’Daw and his representative having travelled to the UK for talks yesterday afternoon.
This morning’s reports claim that N’Daw will join Town on a free transfer but with St Etienne receiving a percentage of any future sale. The Senegalese international is set to undergo a medical and it’s said that the deal could be completed as soon as today.
Meanwhile, the Blues continue to be linked with a loan move for Reading striker Simon Church, along with Huddersfield, while Aston Villa are similarly again mentioned in connection with Town’s Aaron Cresswell with their current left-back Stephen Warnock said to be close to rejoining Blackburn on loan.
