No New Injuries Ahead of Trip to Blackpool - Ipswich Town News
Town have no new injuries ahead of Saturday’s trip to Championship leaders Blackpool. Summer signing Elliott Hewitt remains the only Blues player on the sidelines at present.
Boss Paul Jewell said: "At the moment, as we sit here on Thursday, we haven’t got any injuries. That’s crucial at the moment, because if we got a couple of injuries it would test our strength in depth.
"That’s why we need to bring some new faces in, not just for competition for places but also if you look at our bench it’s young and inexperienced.”
Hewitt is continuing his rehabilitation after undergoing hip impingement operations while with Macclesfield. The Wales U21 international, who is now running, is due back in September.
The Blues manager was pleased with the performance and victory at Watford but says the focus has now moved on to the trip to Bloomfield Road: "They know that they did well but that that’s finished and we’ve got to kick on now.”
