Jewell Delighted With Taylor Signing - Ipswich Town News

Blues boss Paul Jewell says Paul Taylor is an exciting signing for Town, the 24-year-old having signed a three-year deal yesterday. The Blues and Peterborough agreed a fee understood to be an initial £1.5 million rising to £2.5 million after milestone clauses earlier in the week.

Jewell told the club site: "Paul has been in our sights for a while and I’m delighted to have him here.

"He’s an exciting signing for us. He can play up front or wide. He’s got pace, an eye for goal. He’s not the biggest player around but he’s got a bit of bite about him. Most importantly he’s got a hunger to succeed.

"He caused us problem when we played Peterborough last season and I’m confident he will go on to be a very good signing for the club.”
