U18s Lose at Spurs - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s lost 5-1 to Tottenham on Saturday in a friendly at the Premier League club's new training centre in Enfield. Irish winger Mark Timlin headed Town's goal.
Meanwhile, first-year scholar Cory Galvin created the third goal as the Republic of Ireland U17s beat Azerbaijan 3-2 in the second of two friendlies at Castlebar on Thursday.
Striker Galvin whipped a ball over which Azerbaijani defender Vamavamai Mancur turned past his own keeper.
Galvin played the full 90 minutes having been a sub in the Irish youngsters' 3-0 victory in the first friendly last Tuesday. The games were preparation for European Championships qualifiers in Macedonia this month where they will take on Sweden and Romania as well as the hosts.
