Hermann\'s Puffin Frenzy! - Ipswich Town News

Good news for Town supporters as Hermann Hreidarsson has been back to Iceland for fresh supplies of puffin. The seabirds are a staple of the Icelandic diet (and TWTD gags) and are said to be full of protein.

Hreidarsson is from the Vestmann Islands where puffins number in the millions and are therefore an obvious source of food.

In fact, whilst in his homeland Hermann enjoyed what must have been practically a puffin orgy. The man takes up the tale: "We had a few days off so I invited my friend Ivar Ingimarsson, who plays for Brentford, for a puffin party.

"He is from the same island originally and for us the puffin is top of the food chain, it just doesn't get any better than puffin.

"It tastes like the red meat you get with turkeys and we eat it with potatoes."

Perhaps Hermann's puffin frenzy will pay dividends on the pitch on Sunday. Further puffin recipes may be found in previous issues of TWTD.
