More on Sukur - Ipswich Town News
Hakan Sukur has a pedigree of the highest order, scoring 28 goals in 58 appearances for his country. He has been out of favour at Inter since Hector Cuper took over as manager in the summer and has made just two appearances in Serie A, both as substitute.
A move to Britain has often been mentioned and Arsenal, Liverpool and Blackburn have all been linked to the former Sakaryaspor, Bursaspor, Galatasaray and Torino player. He is particularly good in the air and is rated as one of Europe's top strikers.
He joined Inter from Galatasaray at the end of Euro 2000 for £4.9 million. By the beginning of this season had scored six goals in 35 games for Inter, although he was far more prolific with his previous clubs. During his second spell with Galatasaray between the middle of the 95/96 season and 99/00 he scored 142 goals in 192 games.
