Mohsni Back on Trial as Jewell Targets Two Players - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands that Southend defender Bilel Mohsni has returned to Playford Road on trial and is likely to be amongst two players manager Paul Jewell is hoping to sign on loan before Saturday's game against Cardiff.

Jewell said: "There might be a possibility of maybe one or two players coming in [before Saturday]. I know I keep on saying that on Thursday or Friday.

"I know we’ve got a two-week break after Saturday but we’re trying to strengthen the squad.”

The versatile Frenchman, 25, was previously with Town for a week last month but turned down the option to return for a second spell and subsequently spent time with Birmingham.

Last week, Jewell tried to sign QPR striker DJ Campbell on loan as cover for the injured Paul Taylor, but the 30-year-old was expected to join Blackpool, although that move is yet to go through.
