Burley on Loss - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has said that there is still a long way to go this season and also pointed to Bolton Wanderers excellent away record in the wake of today's defeat. The Town manager also criticised his defence for more lapses.
Burley said: "Bolton have the best away record in the Premiership, they are difficult to break down and try and hit you on the break, but I have to look at the defence as they didn't have to do much to score their two goals."
However, Burley says there is a long way to go: "There are 25 games to go to put things right and if we get a couple of wins we can push up the table."
Pablo Couñago, who made his first start in the Premiership today, said it wasn't Town's day: "We are disappointed to lose the three points but we gave ourselves a mountain to climb with two mistakes to go 2-0 down. We didn't lack effort but it wasn't our day today."
