Campbell at Town - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that QPR striker DJ Campbell is at the club this morning as he closes in on the completion of his loan move to the Blues.
As reported a week ago, Town first targeted the 30-year-old ahead of the Barnsley game with Paul Taylor and Michael Chopra both sidelined at the time, but were rebuffed with Blackpool appearing the favourites to sign their former player.
Taylor is out for at least another five weeks with a cracked bone in his foot, while Chopra is over his thigh strain.
Meanwhile, new midfield loanee Richie Wellens will wear the Town number 16 shirt.
