Carson in Northern Ireland Squad - Ipswich Town News
Town midfielder Josh Carson has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifier away against Portugal on Tuesday 16th October. The 19-year-old, who has won four full caps, was initially named on standby.
Also in the squad is former Blue Alex Bruce, who has changed his international allegiance from the Republic of Ireland, with whom he won two caps in friendlies, to Northern Ireland.
Bruce, now with Hull City, replaces another ex-Town man, West Brom's Gareth McAuley, who is suspended.
