Injuries Latest - Ipswich Town News

New signing Ulrich Le Pen will be out for a month after requiring stitches to a foot injury. The Frenchman came on with ten minutes left and was substituted in injury time.

George Burley said of the new signing's early setback: "He took a nasty knock on his foot which needed eight or nine stitches and could be out for around four weeks, but there is no break."

Of Marcus Stewart's injury in a training incident with Pablo Couñago, the Town boss said: "It was a big blow to lose Marcus yesterday and he will be out for 6-8 weeks.

"He stooped to head a ball and got caught but it was just one of those things. He had an operation today and has had two plates inserted.

"Marcus is very disappointed but he is such a great professional that he is already talking about training in two weeks' time, even though he won't be able to play, and is looking at the calendar to see when his return will be."
