Reserves in Action at Walsham - Ipswich Town News
A Town reserves side will be in action at Walsham-le-Willows’ Summer Road ground on Wednesday 17th October in the first round of the Suffolk FA Premier Cup, sponsored by John Banks in the Community (KO 7.45pm). Former Blue Gavin Johnson is a current member of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division club’s squad.
In July, manager Paul Jewell decided to re-enter the Blues into the competition after a two-year absence: "We're looking forward to taking part in the Suffolk Premier Cup and facing local opposition.”
Walsham face Hadleigh in an FA Vase tie on Saturday and if that game ends in a draw the Town match will be rescheduled.
