Hutchings at Supporters Club AGM - Ipswich Town News

Assistant manager Chris Hutchings has been confirmed as the member of the coaching staff attending the Supporters Club AGM along with chief executive Simon Clegg and skipper Carlos Edwards. The AGM, where as in previous years the trio will answer fans’ questions from the floor, takes place on Wednesday 24th October in Legends at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm).

All members of the Supporters Club are welcome to attend the AGM with evidence of membership required on the door. You are a Supporters Club member if you have a season ticket, are a Silver Card member, a Junior Blue or a member of one of the 32 affiliated branches.

Fans unable to attend the AGM in person can submit questions in advance and have them asked on the night either by posting them in the comments below or by emailing them to itsc78@btinternet.com.

In addition to that event and next Wednesday’s London Branch AGM, which will be attended by Luke Chambers, Daryl Murphy and Simon Milton, the Supporters Club plans further events where club officials will meet fans over the course of the season.

Last year, chief executive Clegg and others attended Supporters Club events in Ipswich, Leeds (hosted by North of England Branch) and London (London Branch).

There are plans well advanced for roadshow-style regional events, one of which will be West Suffolk. As last year, these events — which are set to take place between January and March - will be widely advertised in print, on radio and online, including via TWTD, as well as in the Town programme. Amongst the other events already confirmed are:

-16th March 2013 - Annual Supporters Day with events around Ipswich, including a lunchtime question and answer session with Simon Clegg and first team squad players in an Ipswich venue, and a post-match event in Legends Bar following the home game against Bolton Wanderers.

-13th April 2013 - Legends in Legends - After last year's successful first event of this type, fans will get the chance to meet many of the players of the past, from the 1960s onwards. In Legends Bar from 5.15pm, following the home game against Hull City.

-27th April 2013 - Annual Player Awards Evening, including the first team squad and coaches plus other guests. In the evening after the last home game of the season against Birmingham City.

The diary of Supporters Club events will be kept up to date on the newly-launched Supporters Club website as and when they are confirmed.

For more information go to the website or contact Elizabeth Edwards via itsc78@btinternet.com or by phone on 07968 876504. Liz can also be found in Legends after every Saturday home game.
