Second-year academy scholar Gunnar Thorsteinsson is away with Iceland’s U19 squad for European Championships qualifying group games in Croatia.

The Icelandic youngsters take Azerbaijan on Friday, then the hosts on Sunday and finally Georgia next Wednesday.

Central defender or midfielder Thorsteinsson, 18, was handed first-team squad number 33 early in the season but has yet to be involved in a matchday 18.
