McCarthy's Wolves Scouts Depart - Ipswich Town News
Wolves have confirmed the exits of their chief scout Dave Bowman (pictured) and European scout Ian ‘Taff’ Evans. Yesterday, there was speculation in the West Midlands press that the duo could be on their way to join their old boss Mick McCarthy at Portman Road.
Wolves CEO Jez Moxey announced their departures: "We would like to thank Dave and Taff for all the work they have done for us during the last six years.
"We have enjoyed some great successes together and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
Evans, who was the assistant manager at Molineux at one time, and Bowman were seen as McCarthy’s loyal lieutenants along with assistant manager Terry Connor during his time at the club he left in February.
Yesterday, McCarthy said he hadn't yet discussed the situation regarding his wider staff at Town.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match AbandonedTown look set to face a return trip to Blackburn Rovers later in the season after this afternoon’s game was abandoned after 80 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the home side 1-0 up and with the Blues down to 10 men. Jacob Greaves was shown a straight red card four minutes after the break for hauling down Yuki Ohashi, then Rovers skipper Todd Cantwell netted a penalty on 59, but the heavy rain had made the game increasingly farcical the longer it progressed and in the 80th minute referee Stephen Martin took the players off and then 25 minutes later abandoned it entirely.
