Season-long loanee Guirane N’Daw says he’d be interested in joining the Blues on a full-time basis if the opportunity were to present itself. The midfielder’s St Etienne contract is up at the end of the campaign.
Speaking in an interview with Ipswich Player, in which new team-mate Kelly Youga translated, the 28-year-old said: "I used to watch English football on the TV when I was younger and it was always my ambition to come over here and play.
"It was an easy decision to come here to Ipswich when the opportunity came up. I want to play my football here. I think I have the physical abilities to do well in English football.
"I am at Ipswich for the season and my first importance is to fight for the club, fight to get Ipswich up the table.
"I want to take it step by step but yes, why not? If a chance came along to get a long-term contract here I would be happy. We will see.”
Having dropped out of the picture during the latter days of Paul Jewell’s management, N’Daw has become a regular since Mick McCarthy took over as boss.
