Valuables Go Missing From Peterborough Dressing Room - Ipswich Town News
The disappearance of valuables from the away dressing room at Portman Road during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Peterborough United is under investigation by the police.
The missing items include Posh skipper Gabriel Zakuani’s gold wedding ring, a Rolex watch belonging to on-loan West Brom midfielder George Thorne, understood to be worth around £10,000, and another watch owned by an unnamed member of the squad.
Despite an exhaustive hunt, none of the items were recovered with the Posh players, officials and backroom staff searched.
Police also checked through CCTV footage before the Peterborough team bus eventually left Portman Road at 8.15pm.
Posh are understood to have launched an internal investigation, boss Darren Ferguson having absolved Town of any blame after looking at the CCTV recordings.
