Mings Signs - Ipswich Town News
Defender Tyrone Mings has tweeted a photo of himself signing an 18-month contract with Town. The 19-year-old joins from non-league Chippenham Town, TWTD having revealed that the Blues were close to adding the former Southampton academy player to their squad yesterday.
Clearly chuffed to have put pen to paper on a professional deal he added: "This is for everyone who laughed when I said I wanted to be a footballer or said I wouldn't make it."
Mings impressed Blues boss Mick McCarthy during a trial game for Town at Playford Road on Monday.
The deal between the two clubs is believed to include a pre-season friendly between the sides at Chippenham.
