QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he’ll be delighted to have striker DJ Campbell back in his squad when he returns to Loftus Road after three highly successful months on loan with the Blues tomorrow. Redknapp, whose scouts have regularly watched the striker whose contract us up at the end of the season during his spell at Portman Road, said: "I haven’t seen anything of DJ Campbell recently. He did well while he was at Blackpool under Ian Holloway.
"Certainly lots of clubs in the Championship like him and I’ve had lots of phone calls from different managers in the Championship who would love to have him in their team. They tell me he’s a great lad as well so I’m pleased to have him back.”
Former Blackpool boss Holloway was recently reported to want to take Campbell to his current club Crystal Palace, while Bolton have also been linked. However, Campbell has enjoyed his time with the Blues and we understand is keen to join the club on a permanent basis.
