Duo Cleared to Play - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that new signings David McGoldrick and Aaron Mclean have received clearance to play in the FA Cup at Aston Villa tomorrow.

Both strikers and defender Patrick Kisnorbo, who signed on loan from Leeds on Thursday, are included in the squad.

Meanwhile, Mclean told the club site that his loan switch came out of the blue: "The move happened really quickly but obviously I’m delighted to be joining such a good club and hopefully I can help fire Ipswich up the table,.

"I’m eager to be playing games and I’m raring to go. It’s been well publicised that Millwall were interested in me, but then Mick came in and showed an interest and I’m delighted to be joining Ipswich.

"I know the area well as I’ve got a few friends down there who are Ipswich fans themselves and I know a few of the lads in the squad already. I also know Stockers [David Stockdale], Alex Bruce and Liam Rosenior really well from Hull and they all speak positively of the club.

"It’s a loan until the end of the season originally, but you never know what’s going to happen in the future. If everything goes well for all parties then I’m sure me and the gaffer will look at it.”
