England Miss Out on Seedings - Ipswich Town News
Fifa have confirmed this morning that England will not be seeded in the 2002 World Cup in Korea.
Instead England can be sure to have one of either Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea or Spain in their group. This is despite both Germany and Brazil qualifying through the play-offs.
England have however been seeded in a second group of ten which includes Matty Holland's Republic of Ireland. Presumably this means they cannot meet at the initial group stage.
