Central defender Patrick Kisnorbo has extended his loan with the Blues from Leeds until the end of the season. The 31-year-old Australian international’s initial month at Portman Road came to an end today.
Manager Mick McCarthy said on Friday that the plan had always been to extend his spell as long as all parties were happy to do so and the Blues boss is delighted that that is the case: "Patrick wanted to stay with us, we wanted him to stay, so obviously we’re pleased it’s been agreed.”
Kisnorbo, whose only appearance so far came in the FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa, is out of contract at Elland Road at the end of the season.
Elsewhere, ex-Town reserves winger Devann Yao is on trial at Birmingham City. The American, who spent a short time with the Blues during the 2009/10 season, was most recently with Belgian side Royal Boussu Dour Borinage.
Meanwhile, former Blues striker Dean Bowditch, now with the MK Dons, is said to be a target of Norwich City. The former Town academy scholar, who was released in the summer of 2009, is out of contract in the summer.
