Town Confirm Edwards Staying to 2014 - Ipswich Town News
Town have confirmed that skipper Carlos Edwards has activated a clause in his contract entitling him to an extra year at Portman Road, as TWTD revealed on Sunday. The Trinidadian will now remain with the Blues until the summer of 2014.
By making his 30th start of the season at Bristol City on Saturday, Edwards triggered the option for a second year which was included in the contract he signed in April.
Meanwhile, Town have said striker Aaron Mclean will stay on loan at Portman Road for the remainder of the season as planned.
On Saturday, Hull City boss Steve Bruce said he was considering recalling the 29-year-old from his spell at Portman Road.
Elsewhere, Bury have signed right-back Carl Regan, suggesting they're unlikely to want Blues defender Jack Ainsley, who has been on trial with the Shakers.
