Carson Added to Those Away on International Duty - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Josh Carson has been added to Northern Ireland’s squad for their friendly in Malta on Wednesday. The 19-year-old, who has been called up due to injuries, has previously won four full caps.

Also away on international duty this week is skipper Carlos Edwards with Trinidad and Tobago, who is set to play his first game for his country since November 2011 when the Soca Warriors take on Peru, also on Wednesday.

Loan keeper Stephen Henderson could win his first senior cap for the Republic of Ireland having been named in their squad for a friendly with Poland, again on Wednesday.

Two Town youngsters face one another when the Wales U21s take on their Icelandic counterparts at Stebonheath Park, Llanelli in a friendly, once more on Wednesday evening.

Right-back Elliott Hewitt is in ex-Blue Geraint Williams’s Welsh squad and midfielder or defender Gunnar Thorsteinsson has been named in Iceland's travelling party.

Returning striker George Hirst put the Blues in front in the 19th minute but the Tigers levelled on 40 through Ozan Tufan before Omari Hutchinson put Town back ahead with the first of two brilliant goals. However, Hull equalised again through Liam Delap in the 56th minute, then Hutchinson’s second put the Blues ahead again, however, Tigers sub Noah Ohio grabbed a point for the East Yorkshire side with three minutes remaining and the Blues were unable to take late chances to win it.
