Helsingborg Collection - Ipswich Town News

The TWTD Message Board inspired collection to help pay Helsingborgs IF's fine will take place inside the ground tomorrow. Helsingborg were fined after Town fans ran on the pitch after Town scored.

Members of the Supporters' Club will be collecting the cash. Originally the plan was for stewards to do this, but safety concerns caused the change.

When regulars on the TWD Message Board first heard that Helsingborg had been given a £4,226 fine many felt that our Swedish hosts should not have to pay for the actions of Town fans. And after giving Town fans such an excellent welcome while we were out there.

If the collection goes above the £4,226 level then any extra will go towards paying Town's fine of the same amount. Anything above that will go to charity.
