Two More Striker Links - Ipswich Town News
Town have been linked with another two strikers despite the already large number of front men at the club. Slovenian international Milan Osterc has been linked as well as Crewe's Dean Ashton.
A new striker seems an unlikely purchase for George Burley given that there are already seven strikers who have played first team football at the club. However, that hasn't stopped Hapoel Tel Aviv man Osterc being suggested as a possible signing by one of the usual rumour-mongers.
Elsewhere Dean Ashton's name was again mentioned in connection with Town. The highly-rated striker was first linked with Town back in February of this year, but as we say a move for another striker looks unlikely. Ashton came on as a sub as Town beat Crewe 3-2 in the Worthington Cup earlier in the season.
