Kisnorbo Set for China - Ipswich Town News
On-loan central defender Patrick Kisnorbo is joining Liaoning Whowin in China, according to Australian management sources. Leeds centre-half Kisnorbo moved to Portman Road in January and was due to remain with the Blues until the end of the season.
Calibre Sports Management, who represent various Australian players, tweeted: "Busy day - ex-Socceroo and Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo has joined Liaoning Whowin FC in China.”
The 31-year-old’s apparent impending exit - he is at training at Playford Road this morning - appears to explain manager Mick McCarthy’s change of mind regarding a sixth domestic loanee with Reece Brown having joined from Manchester United yesterday.
Kisnorbo, who played for the U21s in their 4-3 victory over Colchester last night, has made only one senior Blues appearance, the FA Cup tie at Aston Villa in January. His Leeds contract is up at the end of June.
While the UK transfer window is closed, it remains open in China until the end of the month.
