Taylor Charged With GBH - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Paul Taylor is one of two men charged with GBH in relation to an incident at a town centre pub in October. Taylor, along with a woman believed to be his girlfriend, had been released on police bail until today.

A police statement reads: "Two men and a woman have been charged following an incident at a pub in Ipswich.

"Paul Taylor, aged 25, of Ashton Close, Rendlesham and Olatunde Ademuyiwa, aged 24, of Beechway, Liverpool have been charged with GBH.

"This relates to an incident in a pub in Tower Ramparts that happened on Tuesday 16 October 2012, during which a 30-year-old man sustained two broken fingers and fractured eye socket.

"Ademuyiwa was also charged with assault by beating, along with Jodie Twitchett, aged 24, of Ashton Close, Rendlesham during which a 42-year-old man sustained a broken rib and a cut to the head, from the same incident.

"All have been released on conditional bail and are due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday 18 March.”

A club spokesman said: "We’re aware of the charge against Paul Taylor but we will be making no further comment at this stage.”

The Liverpudlian striker has been sidelined with a foot injury for most of the season having played for the Blues only three times since his £1.5 million transfer from Peterborough in August.
