Croft Out! - Ipswich Town News

Town defender Gary Croft was today released from Suffolk's Hollesley Bay prison after serving exactly one month of his four month sentence. The wild driving wing-back may play on Saturday against Swindon as Fabian Wilnis is suspended. Croft said on his release: "I would like to say how delighted I am to be back amongst my colleagues at Ipswich Town; a club whose support for me during these turbulent times has been boundless."

The latest set of Ipswich Town rumours over the weekend claim Richard Wright has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea and will join the Londoners for £6 million at the end of the season. This has unsurprisingly been denied by Wright's agent Jonathan Barnett. With Wright still having eighteen months still to run on his contract it would be against transfer regulations for him to sign such an agreement now. Having said that this isn't the first time there has been a link between Wright and Chelsea so there may be something in it..

As well as the Wright to Chelsea story some papers were suggesting Town are after Middlesbrough's £2 million rated striker Andy Campbell. This seems highly unlikely as the price is too high and Town have repeatedly stated that their initial interest is a left winger to replace Bobby Petta.

With Titus Bramble receiving his second Colchester booking on Saturday the young centre-half has reached a total of five for the season. He will have to sit out one match for of his loan spell.
