Peterborough Paint Statement - Ipswich Town News

Peterborough United have released a statement regarding the paint problems at Saturday’s game at London Road in which they have said they will pay for affected items of clothing to be dry cleaned. Fans of both Posh and the Blues had their clothes marked by paint from the walls of the stands during the match which ended 0-0.

The statement reads: "Following recent excessive rain and damp weather conditions, some painted wall areas in the home and away terraces experienced localised deterioration which resulted in a chalky surface film forming which caused problems with clothing on contact. For information, these areas were last painted in the close season.

"We apologise to any supporters who were affected by this anomaly and are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

"We have been informed that these marks can be washed out but will reimburse the dry-cleaning cost of an individual item upon receiving a single item receipt only with the item named and the cleaning company name and contact details on the receipt.

"We will be contacting supporters as soon as possible with further details.”
