Town are not short of leaders in their quest to prevent being relegated claims striker Frank Nouble.
At 34, club captain Carlos Edwards is the oldest player on the books at Portman Road but he is not alone in having led the side this season.
Nouble, 21, said: "One thing we are not short of is voices in the changing room. We are not lacking in that department and people like Luke Chambers and Tommy Smith, who is still quite a young lad, have plenty to say when it comes to rallying the troops.
"But we all have a part to play. Whether I’m playing from the start, on the bench or even when I’m injured — like I am for this week’s game against Bolton — I will still be encouraging my team-mates to do well.”
Nouble’s hamstring strain means he will be a spectator at Portman Road tomorrow when Dougie Freedman’s in-form side will be seeking a sixth successive win to bolster their play-off challenge.
Bolton are unbeaten in eight games, a terrific run that has seen them bank 20 points, but Town won at the Reebok Stadium in December and Nouble believes they can complete the double.
He added: "It’s important we get the three points but all our remaining games are important and there will still be eight left to play after Saturday.
"I’m sure the boys will put in a very good performance against Bolton and even though I won’t be playing I am looking forward to it.”
Once he is fit and back in contention for a place in Town’s starting line-up Nouble has no preference as to whom he would like to partner in attack.
Michael Chopra and the on-loan trio of Daryl Murphy, David McGoldrick and Aaron Mclean are all candidates and he explained: "They are all good players who offer something different in the way of attributes. It is down to the manager who he thinks is the best partnership.”
