N'Daw Arrested - Ipswich Town News
Town midfielder Guirane N’Daw missed today’s 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers having been arrested on suspicion of assault on Friday.
The Senegalese international, who is on-loan from St Etienne for the season, remains in custody, according to a police spokesman: "A 28-year-old man from Ipswich is currently in custody on suspicion of assault following an incident in Ipswich at a property in the town centre yesterday afternoon.”
A Town spokesman added: "We are aware that Guirane N’Daw was arrested yesterday after an alleged domestic incident. The club is liaising with the police and won’t be making any further comment at this time.”
After the game, manager Mick McCarthy said N'Daw had missed the game for personal reasons which he was yet to learn: "Guirane isn’t available for personal reasons, apparently, so he’s not here, I couldn’t pick him.
"I don’t know why. I just got a call from the club secretary this morning saying he wasn’t available. I’ll find out, we’ll see."
