Players Get Much-Needed Rest - Ipswich Town News
The Town squad have been enjoying some much-needed rest as they prepare for the last leg of 2012/13. Manager Mick McCarthy has allowed the squad some time off during the international week.
Speaking prior to the break, McCarthy said: "I’ll give the players a few days off in the middle of the week. We’ll all have a few days off.
"It’s been intense and it’s going to get a bit more intense over Easter. There’s nobody workshy in the club and there’s nobody not prepared to put the hard work in or the miles in.
"So, they need a rest, they’ll need all the legwork they can get between now and the end of the season.”
Various members of the squad and staff were at yesterday’s club Golf Day at Stoke-by-Nayland alongside ex-players, supporters and corporate customers.
