Watch Town Loanees at Chelmsford for Free - Ipswich Town News
Town season ticket holders interested in seeing how loan pair Jack Ainsley and Joe Whight are faring at Chelmsford City can do so for free this weekend. The Clarets are giving Premier League and Championship season ticket holders free entry into Saturday’s Blue Square Bet South game against Maidenhead United at the Melbourne Stadium (KO 3pm).
Chairman Mansell Wallace says supporters from the top two tiers will get in for nothing when they present their season tickets at the turnstiles: "It’s an international weekend so there are no Premier League or Championship matches.
"We’re inviting fans to experience football at our level, maybe for the first time, because non-league football has a lot to offer.
"It would be brilliant if we could add some new faces on the terraces to join our excellent fans and give us that final, important boost towards the end of the campaign.”
Ainsley and Whight both played the full 90 minutes as the Clarets, who are managed by another ex-Blue, Glenn Pennyfather, thrashed Farnborough 6-0 at home on Monday.
Other non-league clubs may also be running similar promotions, if you’re aware of one give it a mention in the Comments section below.
