Town fans hoping to catch loanees Jack Ainsley and Joe Whight in action for Chelmsford for free this afternoon have been thwarted by the weather. The Clarets have announced that their Blue Square Bet South match against Maidenhead United at the Melbourne Stadium has been postponed due to an unsafe pitch.
The Essex club had offered season ticket holders at Premier League and Championship clubs the opportunity to watch the game for nothing. The match will now be played on Monday 22nd April.
Another Blues loanee, Ronan Murray, also has an unexpected afternoon off with Plymouth's game at Chesterfield off.
Josh Carson and York City's match at Torquay is on as things stand after a morning pitch inspection.
