U21s in Action at Cardiff - Ipswich Town News
Town U21s coach Mark Kennedy will be facing one of his old clubs this afternoon with his side taking on their Cardiff counterparts at the Cardiff City Stadium (KO 1pm).
Battling the conditions to reach Wales yesterday was a young squad including academy scholars Mark Timlin, Jonny Leddy, Kyle Hammond, Amir Berkane and Ted Bishop, and schoolboy Matthew Clarke, who scored the winner in last week’s 2-1 victory over Millwall. Byron Lawrence is the only player involved with first-team experience.
Meanwhile, the search has begun for Town’s new sponsors with owner Marcus Evans’s five-year sponsorship of the club up at the end of the season.
U21s team: Crowe, Hammond, Sowunmi, Thorsteinsson, Leddy, Burke, Berkane, Clarke, Lawrence, Marriott, Timlin. Subs: Thomson, Robinson, Winter, Bishop, Willbye.
