Academy second-year scholar Tom Winter came on as a 71st minute sub as Leiston and Lowestoft drew 0-0 at Victory Road in a Ryman League Premier Division local derby this afternoon. Striker Winter, one of the five scholars offered a one-year professional contract, joined Leiston on loan on Friday.

Meanwhile in League Two, Josh Carson was also involved in a goalless draw, the Northern Irishman starting and playing the full 90 minutes as his York City side picked up a point at Bristol Rovers.

Ronan Murray came on as a 72nd minute sub as Plymouth beat Exeter 1-0 in another local derby in League Two.

Elsewhere, Jack Ainsley and Joe Whight were on the losing side when their loan club Chelmsford City lost 3-0 at Welling United in the Blue Square Bet South on Friday, the Clarets having been reduced to 10 men after only three minutes.
