Winter Nets First for Leiston - Ipswich Town News
On-loan academy striker Tom Winter netted his first goal for Leiston as they beat Wingate and Finchley 3-0 at home on Saturday. Winter, one of the five second-year scholars to have been offered a professional deal by the Blues, was making his second start for the Ryman League Premier Division side.
In League Two, Josh Carson supplied the pass for Adam Reed’s goal as his loan club York City drew 1-1 at home to Accrington Stanley.
Ronan Murray, who last week was told he would not be offered new terms by the Blues in the summer, was an injury time sub for Plymouth as they beat Cheltenham 2-0 at home.
In the Blue Square Bet South, Jack Ainsley and Joe Whight, also told their time with Town will come to an end at the end of the season, were in the Chelmsford side which lost 1-0 at home to Bath City.
