Awards Evening Tickets on Sale as Player of the Year Voting Opens - Ipswich Town News

Tickets are still available for this year’s Supporters Club Player Awards Evening, which will be held in Legends Bar on Saturday 27th April from 6.30pm to 12am. The first team squad, management and new joint-MDs Ian Milne and Jonathan Symonds will be attending and the Player of the Year award — for which voting has now opened - and a host of other trophies will be handed out.

The event provides a great opportunity to have photographs taken with the players and coaching staff and to collect autographs.

Presentations will be made during the evening to all the players who have made their debut during the season, the Academy Player of the Year and the Supporters Player of the Year, along with a special presentation to the Young Fan of the Year.

Tickets cost £20 including a buffet and can be obtained from Liz Edwards by emailing itsc78@btinternet.com or by phoning 07968 876504.

Voting for the Player of the Year award has opened online at the Supporters Club website here. This will continue until Friday 26th April.

Voting will also take place outside Portman Road prior to the home game against Birmingham City on Saturday 27th April.

Town are one point away from a return to the Premier League after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Kieffer Moore’s eighth minute goal gave the Blues a 1-0 half-time advantage, but the Sky Blues, who were in charge for long spells, levelled through Haji Wright on 64, however, Cameron Burgess restored the lead with his second goal of the season five minutes later and Town saw out 11 minutes of added-on time to secure three vital points and put them a single point away from back-to-back promotions.
