Ipswich Can Get Out of Trouble - Robson - Ipswich Town News

Former Town manager Bobby Robson says Town can avoid relegation this season despite falling to yet another defeat against his Newcastle side today. Robson pointed to Marcus Stewart's return as crucial to Town's progress.

The Ipswich legend said: "I'm still sure Ipswich can get out of trouble. What they are lacking is a top marksman which they had in Marcus Stewart and hopefully they will get sufficient points before he comes back. Possibly their only weakness at the moment is they are not scoring. If someone gets the goals they will get out of trouble."

Town manager George Burley said his side were better than their current position: "When you are bottom of the League on a run losing games it starts to get more difficult but there are plenty of games still left. We are not getting outplayed. Newcastle are third in the League but we gave as good as we got but they got the first goal and we are just lacking that belief in front of goal. We probably had more of the ball in general play. It's another very tight game where we have not picked up points and that is why we are bottom of the table. We will keep working hard and believing and I felt we did that today. Apart from having more belief in front of goal I felt we did well, but if you dont score you won't win games. People will say we are a poor side because we are bottom but in most games we have done well but you have to do it for 90 minutes in this League as you are against quality players. Two wins can change everything."
