McGavin on Life's a Pitch - Ipswich Town News

Former Birmingham striker and current Town academy head of recruitment Steve McGavin is this week’s special guest on BBC Radio Suffolk’s Life’s a Pitch, which is live over Saturday lunchtime (midday to 2pm). Presenter Mark Murphy is joined by the show’s other regulars, legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, football’s youngest pundit Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham.

McGavin will be talking about this year's new intake of academy scholars, next Wednesday's academy showcase at Portman Road, when Town's U15s will play Spurs (KO 7pm), as well as his own time as a youngster with the Blues and his spell at St Andrew's.

Can Town finally nail the jelly that is Championship survival to the ceiling? Will they do so by completing the double over the Midlanders?

Add your thoughts on those questions or anything else via email, the programme’s Facebook page, Mark’s Twitter or during the show by phone on 01473 212121 or text to 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM or online here. Last week's programme can be heard here.
