Chopra: I Don't Have to Leave - Ipswich Town News
Striker Michael Chopra says it’ll be down to him whether he leaves Town this summer, having been told that the Blues will listen to offers for him along with team-mate Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
Chopra tweeted: "Just coz I'm on the transfer list does not mean I have to leave. I have one year left on my contract it’s down to the player if he wants to go or not.”
The 29-year-old, who joined the Blues from Cardiff for £1 million in the summer of 2011, was the subject of loan offers from Hull City and other clubs in January but manager Mick McCarthy was unwilling to allow him to move on at that time.
Ex-Arsenal man Emmanuel-Thomas, 22, also has a year left on his Town contract.
