Day Faces Charity Assault Course Challenge - Ipswich Town News
Supporters Trust committee member Carl Day and nine others will be taking on the challenge of completing a 20-mile, 200-obstacle assault course, the world’s largest, at Burghley on Saturday to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Carl, whose previous charity exploits have included running the London Marathon dressed in full armour, would welcome both individual and corporate sponsorship: "I and nine others have formed Team Procurus in our attempt to complete the longest, hardest assault course in the world on 11th May 2013.
"We are looking for both normal sponsorship and for those companies wanting to be part of this you can purchase advertising space on our shirts.”
Carl, 46, who recently stepped down from his role as Trust chairman after a decade, admits to being concerned about what he’s going to be putting himself through: "This is going to hurt and I am slightly terrified about this challenge but I will put myself and the rest of Team Procurus through hell to justify your support!”
