U17s Unbeaten in Belgium - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U17s are unbeaten after their first three fixtures at the Voskescup which is being hosted by Belgian club SC Lokeren this weekend.

The young Blues drew 1-1 with RAEC Mons in their opening game, Byron Lawrence netting the goal, then picked up another point from a 0-0 draw with the hosts, before Matthew Clarke (pictured) scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over KV Mechelen.

Town end the day two points behind group leaders AA Gent, who they face in tomorrow’s first game, in joint-second with Lokeren.

The Blues end their group matches — which are played over two 20-minute halves — against K Sint-Truidense VV tomorrow before the final between the top sides in either group and play-offs for the other places.
