Former Blues striker Kevin Wilson will be appearing at one of Spirit of 78’s An Evening With… events at the Drum and Monkey’s End of Season party on Saturday 18th May with all Town fans invited (7pm). The evening will raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Wilson, now the manager of Evo-Stik League Northern Premier League side Ilkeston, will talk about his career, Town and football in general and will hold a question and answer session, which will be followed by an auction and raffle.

Ex-players Tommy Miller, Pim Balkestein, David Norris and others have donated items for the auction, while former chief executive Derek Bowden has also given two match tickets for the Essex-England game at Chelmsford and Lord's have donated two tickets for the England-New Zealand ODI sell-out on Friday 31st May. Nigel Clough, manager of one of Wilson's other clubs, Derby, has donated his training top.

The raffle includes items such as a deluxe hamper, a five-piece kitchenware set, £100 clothing vouchers from Slaters, £50 voucher from handgifts.com, a signed Sir Bobby Robson football and two tickets for a Wembley tour.

There will also be a free souvenir programme with Wilson’s Town coach Charlie Woods amongst those contributing.

Other ex-players will be in attendance at the pub, which will be decorated with ‘Welcome Back Kevin’ banners.
