Trust Holding Whitsun Holiday Camps - Ipswich Town News

The ITFC Charitable Trust’s next Holiday Camps will be at Whitsun from May 28th-31st. Every school holiday the Trust runs a range of grassroots level football courses across Suffolk for children between the ages of 4 and 12 and now new two-day multisport activity camps, which include handball, hockey and basketball sessions, at Portman Road.

The football courses give children the chance to develop their skills and make new friends overseen by the Trust’s professional and experienced coaching staff.

They are suitable for children of all abilities aged 4 — 12 and take place at various indoor and outdoor venues throughout Suffolk, including Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Leiston and Sudbury.

The Trust offers a wide range of courses which help the development of each child’s footballing technique, including key skills such as passing, control, tackling and shooting.

Specialist courses, such as goalkeeping training camps, offer a unique opportunity to focus on key techniques such as quick feet and ball distribution, making sure aspiring keepers get a firm grip on how to play their position.

The ITFC Charitable Trust is also very passionate about girls’ football development and therefore a girls-only training camp is offered every school holiday. This is open to girls of all abilities aged between 5 and 12 years.

The Trust is proud of is its award-winning Ability Counts programme, which offers football activities across Suffolk for children, young people and adults who have learning difficulties, physical disabilities and mental health issues.

Also under the Ability Counts banner is a one-day specialist children’s course which offers those aged from 5 — 12 years football coaching tailored to meet each individual’s specific needs.

The ITFC Charitable Trust also offers the popular Crazee’s Club, a course designed specifically for younger children aged 4 — 6 years.

The new multi-sport experience allows children to participate in a variety of other sports including handball, hockey, basketball, as well as taking part in fun football skills training and a small-sided tournament.

Participants will receive a medal for taking part and members of the winning team will receive trophies. Includes a behind the scenes look at Ipswich Town Football Club.

The option to extend courses at Portman Road, either during the Early Bird 8.30am-10.00am period or Extra Time 3pm-5pm, is also now available when making a course booking.

For more information or to book a course call 0845 1369 333 or visit the Trust’s website.
