Town, Bournemouth and Wolves have been linked with a move for out-of-contract Southampton centre-half Dan Seaborne.
Last season, the 26-year-old spent time on loan with Championship Charlton and in League One with Bournemouth and the newly-promoted Cherries are understood to want to make his move permanent.
Barnstaple-born Seaborne started his career with Exeter City and spent time on loan with non-league Clyst Rovers, Tiverton, Taunton and Dorchester while a young player with the Grecians.
Having made 91 starts and five appearances as sub for Exeter, scoring five times, the 6ft 3in tall centre-half or left-back joined Southampton for an undisclosed fee in January 2010. Since then he has made 37 starts and 15 sub appearances for the Saints without scoring.
Seaborne missed most of Southampton’s 2011/12 promotion campaign after receiving serious head injuries when he was assaulted outside a nightclub.
He returned to action at the start of last season but his only appearances for the Saints came in the Capital One Cup before he made his moves out on loan.
